Derek Jameson is a singer, songwriter, and pianist born and raised in San Jose, C.A.. He is now based out of Los Angeles, C.A. Derek’s music is a mix of piano driven pop music with urban beat architecture. He has written and produced most of all his material and occasionally works on projects for films and other established artists.
Derek got started in entertainment back in 1996 as a character performer for a Paramount Theme Park in northern California called “Great America.” In the following years he progressed to being the lead in many of the parks stage shows. During this time he began to head bands singing his songs and tour up and down the California Coast. These experiences led him to win awards like best pop/rock group at the New York Independent Film and Music Festival and be placed in various music videos, T.V., film, and worldwide and local publications such as “Pop-U-Larity,” “RENT,” and Bravo’s “Workout.” Now, Derek’s West Hollywood artist residency at the Bar Lubitsch and playing local nightclubs has established him as a pop artist on the rise.
Along with music, Derek is a Master Personal Trainer. He believes that inspiration is the key to success and happiness in life. Through both music and fitness he has inspired people to think, act, and live more in their own lives. Each year traveling to some new and exotic location to share his talents and learn through the talents and passions of others has brought Derek to the goal of educating, inspiring, and moving people both physically and emotionally.
